Circus Elleboog

Ruiter Janssen was part of a multidisciplinary team of the Sandberg Institute, designing the interior of Circus Elleboog.

The new interior challenges the user to change role from spectator to performer and the other way around. The ground floor consists of three moveable walls which can be pushed back and forward. Every wall has its own function: playing, working and waiting. The first floor has a more horizontal set-up. The stage in the middle is able to transform into diverse sitting areas by sliding and moving various elements. As a graphic designer Ruiter was responsible for the typography.
